OT: Mugen Still Involved with Jordan F1?
I was looking through Formula 1 Magazine and noticed that Eddie Jordan was wearing a team shirt with Mugen patches. I thought Mugen was no longer involved in F1. Is there still some relationship there? Does anybody know anything else?

From what I understand HONDA has replaced MUGEN as the engine manufacturer for this season, now I am not sure of the context of the original partnership with MUGEN, ex. was it purely as an engine builder, or did it involve other areas.

Honda and its engineers have replaced Mugen as the engine supplier for Jordan this year. Honda also provides engines for BAR of course, and also a few other engineers help out BAR in other areas.

They may have some kind of role in maintenance, but it is Honda who now is their engine supplier. Last year was Mugens last year as offical engine supplier to Jordan. Honda also supplies BAR this year.

Both Jordans and BARs have Honda engines but check out the stripe down the side of the BAR looks like a Mugen stripe to me.....

Do you have a pic of the Mugen patches on the Jordan uniform? I'd like to see that since Mugen isn't in F1 anymore (not tryin' to be a smartass, I'd really like to see it )

I haven't scanned the article - but the photos may be from last year (although the magazine is the latest issue here in the states). It is the new Formula 1 Magazine and Eddie Jordan and HHF are on the cover. Story is about the firing of HHF...

From what I know the last Mugen involvment was with F1 was last yr. But right now I can't say Honda as the best in engines in F1 not when around 50% of the time there blowing up.
