Default PRELUDE FINAL DRIVE

I have gotten the guys at PRODRIVE to build us a better final drive. The current one is slightly brittle. They are going to us a harder material. This will be better for daily driver use. SO anyone who is interest, SERIOUSLY INTERESTED, needs to email me ASAP so we can get the group together. I do not beleive this is going to be a product line. So let me know who is interest. There is always alot of talk and no one ever moves on it.

email me at CRJ_LLL@HOTMAIL.COM

The specs will be similar to the original peice as will the price as I am told. The price would be around $1250.

You can get more detailed specs from their website.

Nice to see the interest. We can make this happen if we get together. It is up to us. I know I am in. WHo is next?

Why can't people use English grammar? Is it that hard? Maybe then we would be able to understand half of the people that post on this site.

Maybe 5th gen tranny users need a lower FD.. But at that cost, they could almost buy a new 4th gen VTEC tranny..

That is too much to spend. If I still had my money tree in my backyard I wouldn't mind getting that, but unfortunately it died due to the heavy amounts of money that was pulling the branches off the trunk . Unless I was completly finished modding my lude, I would definetly pass on this part and invest in several other things that I could buy at that price.

1250 for a final drive is alot. I could easily buy a spare lsd h22 tranny with that money. I dont even have an lsd right now.
You say that it wont be a public item? Just a one time thing?

Yes, a one time thing. As for the expense, they offer other final drives for the same price and also they are the only company making a final drive. If you would rather spend your money on a JDM Tranny with and LSD, feel free. Me. I am going to have a JDM Tranny with a Quafe LSD and a SI 5th along with this final drive. Will cost me about $3000, but I think it is well worth it. but that is just me. This is the second most important part of the car, first being the engine. Again, this is just my opinion. I am tired of my GSR friends giving me sh*t because honda gave them a final drive that was 4.7xxx and ours is 4.266. So, you are welcome to join in and if not, I will get it on my own. I juist wanted to be nice and offer it to all.

well thanks, appreciate it.
They say its stronger than the marketed one, is there gonna be any kind of warranty, if perhaps it does fail under dragracing situations?

$1250

Same as the old one. This new one has stronger deeper teeth so it will be more durable.

wtf? Prodrive is supposed to be a world-class manufactuer of race-quality parts, right?

so now...

I bet they keep repeating that to themselves when they are staring at your taillights. Are you tired of your car wiping the streets with your friends' GS-R's?

hbout straight cut gears instead of the helical type.that can reduce some friction on the gears......As for highway speeds, maybe the accord 5th gears can be used in conjunction...

#1, They made them before and they would break under drag and street race launch conditions so they stopped selling to the public and only sold them to road race teams and professional drag race teams.

#2, The mark of a professional in my book is to always to work to better themselves. If they thought it was perfect all the time, they could not better themselves. They admitted their fault and fixed it.

#3, The reason it is only in limited production is because luders do not buy it enough. So I have been nagging this guy for over a year and they finally decided to make one.

If that is not good enough for you, I am sorry. I was just trying to share my good news with the forum.

Anyone who is seriously interested, let me know. I am trying to put a group together to get a discount price.

I can be reached @ crj_lll@hotmail.com
