I am planning on getting a lsd tranny for my accord h22a swap but i don't know how to identify that i am getting a LSD and not a regular tranny
Are ther any special code or serial number on a lsd tranny that i should know of???
Also what king of price is ok...I want to make sure i am not being screw over with price or wrong tranny

The way to identify an LSD tranny is to pop off the plug above the where the axle goes i think, my plug was red and i guess u can see the axle if u look through it. non LSD trannys have like a little bar going across in the hole. kinda hard to explain, sorry.

 

it's pretty easy actually, been explained many a times. pretty much the way you said, i think, pretty sure though. try a search

 

wtf? why pop off the axle when you can just look on the tranny for the code. Its right where the tranny meets the block. There's a serial number or some **** and should say m2b4 if its lsd. m2a4 if its not.

 

some people scratch it off especially if they are trying to rip you. Chances are it will be somewhere with a lift, you can do the old spin the tires method or you can look for a pin(obstruction) inbetween the hole where the axles at.
