Default Semi-OT: Cigarette lighter - Anyone have one laying around?

Anyone have one they want to sell and can ship me ASAP.. I got the car with half the interior out, and this was one piece I was missing.. the rest is now stripped, but I need that lighter to plug my radar detector into(easier than wiring it straight up to the fuse box, i think)..

I just need the lighter itself.. it's going to hang free, so I don't need any of the panels/console to go with it..

Random, I know, but it'll make sense in a few days..

try and contain yourself george, ahem..

anyways.. this is serious, I'm really too lazy to wire it up the permanent way and the lighter would save me the trouble..

Nope.. never.. I just like to exercise my right to know when I am under radar surveilance..

not like it really matters, my car is still being restored anyhow..

I was referring more to your body than your car. Sure, you can do what you wish with your own body - go ahead and make yourself smell bad and increase your chances of health problems; after all, it's your body, no one else's. But unlike a car, if it breaks down, you can't just go out and buy another one...

This message brought to you by the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association. (Stop and think for a second about the diseases these groups fight against, and why they try to get people to cut down on smoking.)

Yes Ken, but it's still HIS life, not yours. Let people live as they want to live. The only people he's endangering besides himself are his non-smoking friends. If they don't have a problem with it, then why should anyone else?

Of course. In fact, I already said that.

Congratulations!

That's a worthwhile achievement. How has it affected your life, aside from freeing up more money for mods? Do your non-smoker friends appreciate it? Do you still fight the urge to resume?

Again, props to you, Dave!

mods? I don't mod my car. I sell mods off it. I have more important uses for my money then my econobox

I never smoked around local non-smoking friends (I would at WTDR events but that's cause I couldn't not smoke for a whole weekend, etc). As for the urge to resume, I just decided to stop and haven't had any urges to start again except when I work on cars for some reason.

not needed, but thanks.

I don't miss the smell, the money spent, cleaning ashtrays, etc. I guess I really didn't gain all that much enjoyment out of smoking anymore so I saw no reason to continue to do so.

Yup.

Explain to them that what you want is (I assume, from your post) the cigarette lighter socket, not the lighter that plugs into it. The parts folks probably get tons of requests for the lighter, because people lose it (since you can pull it out easily), but very few requests for the lighter socket, which is permanently (usually) a part of the car.

I actually have the part number already.. I always get them myself, because parts people don't always understand what you're looking for..

I was just hoping to get one cheaper/faster through here from someone who stripped their interior..
