Default 3D modeling homework updated

well a few weeks ago, i asked for pics of some volk gtp's because i needed to model a rim for my 3d modeling class. didn't get much help, so i jus decided to use whatever pics were from the net. the rim isn't as detailed as i wanted it to be. this is a quick render to show my progress, i still need to add a bump map and texture the tire and do the finishing touches on the shadows and reflections of the rim

this is all done w/ maya 4.5 using nurbs

i wonder if formZ could do that... I hear the nurbz function in the latest v4.0 is much better than in the previous version, and I just happen to have a 1-year lease of 4.0.

yeah i dont have enough ispoarms in my model and i also did a rough draft render so the tesselation is low, so thats why it seems crooked.

it probably doesn't look impressive to most of the guys, you should try posting what stock pics you used.

That wheel came out nice! I did a Racing Hart C2 wheel in my intro to CAD class a couple semesters ago.
