Integra weight comparison to EG and EK Civic Hatches.
I'm curious as to what makes the Integra 94-01 weigh about 400 pounds(2,600 LBS) heavier than an EG or Ek Civic hatch 1992-2000(2,200 LBS)? I know that the heavier 1.8L B18C motor has some part in the huge weight difference. Also how much does the Integra Type R weigh compared to the GSR, LS and GS?

Only because of the wheels i believe. Get rid of the wheels on the CX and i think it's the lightest.

I don't think these numbers a right...
GSR 2660 lbs
Type R 2600 lbs
not sure about anything else but I know these are the correct numbers for the GSR and Type R.

I thought I read somewhere that the first type r was about 300 pounds less than the gsr. But the second build of them, a few years later, were not as light. The 60 lb difference sounds about right for the second builds.
I don't know what made the type r v1 so light, specifically. It did mention lighter weight suspension components. Aluminum maybe... Idk.
