Default My ITR + Rain + Idiot in Ford Explorer = Guardrail

I knew it was raining today, but the beater was low on gas and I was already late to work so I thought Cordillia would go for a spin today. I was about 10 min away from work in the middle lane of 3 lane highway traveling about 60mph. The highway splits to left(1 lane) or right with middle and right lane. I was traveling through the slight right curve as normal and see blue in the corner of my eye try to jump across to the far left lane and clip my rear quarter panel. From there I slid across about 5-6 cars and slammed my driver side front into the guardrail then spin and finally ended up getting my driverside rear bumper wedged underneath the rail. I sat there in disbelief for a min kicking myself for being too lazy to get gas the night before. THen I called my boss and told him I was going to be a little late and tried to get myself oriented.

I sit there and see about 4-5 cars pull over then all speed off. Knowing how dishonest people are and not wanting to have a he said she said argument with the insurance companies for 6 months+, I was pretty pissed off. Then the passangerside door of the Explorer opens with her son coming out to apoligize to me and blah blah. He ends up trading me info and admiting to fault on the scene which was a great sign of relief for me.

Cops come and write her a ticket for an unsafe lanechange and I tow the car to the shop where I'm hoping they total it. 2 accidents is more than enough for me in one car. If they do fix it, they're gunna have to fix or replace both quarter panels and my JDM front end.

This was one of the last pics I took with her :

That sucks a lot man, sorry for your loss. Person was probably on a cell phone, speeding, in an SUV, in the rain. All horrible things. Hope everything works out for the better. The silver lining is out there somewhere man.

J N who had his R hit by a SUV which then resulted in JDM front end goodness.
