Has anyone had thier car totalled by the insurance co? Did they
take into consideration your performance upgrades.

My insurance co. is only paying out the fair market value of my car (stock).

They are not taking into consideration my 17in rims, brand new side spoilers and
any of my other hop-up parts.

They also claim that I have moderate body damage when it is not true. Ex. My driver side passenger mirror has damage.....no kidding it was singed of by a fire.


I need suggestions for dealing with them.

Please help a fellow import enthusiast.

When i totaled my old car....(93 acoord), the insurance paid for all my mods that i lost. Well not all. They paid for allt he parts i had reciept for.....

considering that all my mods were less then 3 months old

Street fighter front
M3 sides
Combat back

heheheh back in my rice days can do much to an accord but swap out for a H22a

 

if it is your insurance company that is totalling it, you may have trouble getting them to pay out if you didn't get the car appraised and your insurance rates adjusted for the appraisal.

if it is someone elses insurance company they don't have much choice but to pay for the parts that their insured damaged.
