My friend wants to trade his CRX for my Civic straight up. His car is an Az car, so has no rust, mine was brought in from cali ~3 years ago and has a tiny bit.

HIS CAR
1990 CRX Dx with: B16A, I/H/E, short shifter, carbon fiber hood, wheels, 2 spare wheels w/ Azenis, stripped interior, 2nd gear might be starting to grind.

MY CAR
1991 Civic Dx: Turbo A6. Kinda afraid he'll blow it up and blame me, so I told him if we did trade I would do all the work for free, he has to pay for parts.

I have been going over this in my head for days. If we trade I have to sell my Si, that's not bothering me, but I did just buy a some SOHC parts for it (header, engine mounts). I will probably return my Si to stock to sell it, might leave the header, IDK if the stock mani wants to go back on. I also SOHCs but since I was building a daily driver out of my Si, an extra cam might not be so bad.

How do you feel about the trade? and why.

 

no rust, an extra set of wheels, and a reliable n/a motor thats probably just as fast as your current car (or if not probably will be soon)? Sounds like a deal to me.

Only thing: Do you ever carry a lot of stuff/people in your civic? I really doubt you're gonna fit you and 3 friends, or a dorm room worth of stuff, into a CRX.

I was selling the Civic anyway, my CRX I have now is my Daily Driver. He bought his CRX about 1 month ago and wanted to trade as soon as he found out I was selling it.
