How do those cheap imitation ones fit? Not wings west but just generic ones.

I've installed a few fiberglass Mugen knock off's for friends cars back in the day. One I believe was Erebuni, the other was a very old VIS, both needed some work. I used a Dremel, and a lot of patience, and just started grinding and trimming the portions that stuck out until I got a good fit. The area that sits underneath the corner lamps needed the most work.

Hm, I see. Do you recommend someone with body work knowledge or just the common car guy with a dremmel can do it?

If I could get it done, anyone can do it. I have no bodywork experience, and at that time, all of my friends were getting kits, so I was helping everyone get theirs on. As long as the mold fits somewhat decent, you should be able to just make the necessary adjustments and get a solid fit.
