Default OBX catch can

i have a couple questions about this catch can, and want to hear from you ITR guys first. Where does the extra spout on the botton of the catch can supposed to connect to? and does the locations of the in/out spouts have any effect on its filtering ability?
here's a pic

If it's hollow in the center like the cusco then it isn't going to filter anything.

You can add wool in there to make it baffled.

Even though it doesn't filter anything, oil still does get caught in there.

you sure it's not a drain? it might come with a plug for it.

off topic: wow, OBX made a quality looking catch can. that's a suprise.

I just saw one of those in person, It is a piece of garbage. The chrome cap was flaking, the fittings on the side where on different angles................ Stay away from that one.

well, they did a better job than i would if i made my own. i'd rather get that one then pay a lot of money for the cusco or moroso.

nothin this can't fix

but seriously, did it look like it was going to fall apart inside the engine bay?

they say its aluminum, looks to be the same material as the greddy catch cans, as long as it stays in one piece i figure it would be ok

Look where the sightglass is and look where the inlet/outlets are...kinda defeats the purpose of the sightglass doesn't it?!

That bottom drain is used if you are using the can for a power steering fluid reservoir. You can remove the threaded nipple on the bottom and the can should have came with an additional plug if you do not want to use it for a ps reservoir.
