What oil is best for a stock S2000?
I've been going to the Honda dealer for my oil changes since I got my car in the Summer of 2000 but I think it's time to go for something better.
I'm was looking for something that will be good for a daily driver (40-50 miles a day) and will be good for "Canyon Carving/sport driving/occasional autocross."
RedLine? Castrol? Mobil 1? What weight? Tell me what you recommend.
Thanks in advance.

I have been reading other boards for the S2000 and it is recommended that you do not change your oil in your S2000 before 3750 and not after 7000...and when you do put in oil , it is recommended you use a NON-SYNTHETIC until you reach above 6000 miles in order to allow the rings to seal properly. Honda has a special additive into to the oil to allow a better break-in, and anding synthetic oil will make the break -in time longer..I am following this myself and from what other S2K owners have said, it is the best way..
I was told by a mechanic here who is a mech for H.A.R.T that the s2000 comes with synthetic in it.And whoever says sythetic isn't good until 6k miles, what the hell are you talking about? If you drive it hard it will use oil regardless.I feel better knowing there is a little more protection there.
Sorry, but your HART mechanic is wrong, according to my S2000 owners manual, it comes with a coventional oil made for breaking in the motor. If you read what I said above, I never bashed synthetic oil, I just said in order to properly break in your engine, leave in the oil that came in the S2000,( apparently you don't have an S2000 ) until your engine reaches over 3750 miles for proper break-in of the motor, then you can change the oil to whatever the hell you want...
