Hey man, nice times!! You went out to Speedworld tonite? How was the turnout? The weather is finally starting to cool off a bit- toward the end of the summer I get sooooo sick of this f-ing heat. Can't wait for the 70's
Mr. JDM: i don't think that his times are week at all. "If you don't got anything good to say.... don't say anything at all.", didn't your momy ever tell you that??
That's without vtec.... imagine with...

my type r runs that with only a intake, thats week man, why dont you get some vtec power.
HX: Good times for no Vtec. You should try running on street tires, "real world" style. Did you do any weight reduction?

The way I kinda look at it..slicks ARE "real world" style.
Think about it...the track is WAY more slippery then teh street is. On street tires..i can shipr FOURTH at teh track! No way in hell thats possible on the street...so street tires at the track dont really show your "real world" times...that make any sense? Heh
I took out all my seats (except drivers of course).
Car weights 2570 with me in it...Im around 175 LBS.

Again, tight ride, I was just wondering (to benchmark) what you ran in street trim. Personally, I run the way I drive on the street. -C
No, it makes sense, and is Bull$hit. (said in a nice way). Nice times no doubt, but running slicks at the track is not the same as street tires on the street. On street tires you wouldn't get 1.9 60', you'd get aorund 2.3-2.4
The track is alot more slippery then the actual roads are...you get worse traction at the track then if you were to line up against someone at the stop light.
Thats why I gave the example of the 4th gear chirp at the track..cause its so slick..I can actually chirp 4th! Thats not possible on the street.
When I race at a stop light...I usually get some wheel spin..but still get traction in 1st..then I spin 2nd for a few hundred RPMs..which is what was happening at the track on slicks!
Im not saying that at the track my times on slicks are the same as my times would be on street tires...
Im saying that my times on slicks would be roughly the same as a stop light race on the road. So...I can probably be a good match for a car high 13 second car...like a Z28 Camaro.
Get it?
HX Guy,
way to represent the HX...us former HX owners thank you.
this post also makes me pretty excited...I have similar HP numbers, albeit less tq, and sgT said I could pull 13's in my ITR with 170whp. Can't wait til I hit the 1320.
Good job man.

my first time drag racing i spun all the way to fourth gear, launched to high. i didnt know i could do that!!! it takes some practice....good times man!
HX, have you ever walked on the track? I suggest you do, it's pretty interesting to see the floor suck the shoe off your feet. I mean maybe your track is not sticky, but I've walked on Moroso's track and I almost lost my damn sneakers, VERY sticky. Add slicks to the equation and it's extremley unrealistic because we al know the street isn't sticky at all.
Well that might be true at some tracks..and maybe even here on Fridays (when they add that sticky compound stuff to the track) but on Wednesydas they dont prep the track at all and its like the damn mall parking lot.
That is why I gave the example of chriping 4th at the track on street tires..TRUST ME...thats not possible for me to do on the street..I bearly chirp 3rd sometimes on the street...but at the track 3rd breaks loose hard...so obviously the track is much slicker then the roads (at least here)
