btw, i dont mind doing some work to get it to work right. I just have this perfectly good hydro tranny for my d16 and i'd rather not have to find a decent si cable tranny if i dont have to.

It can be done.
But nobody makes the mount kit. So either buy a welder or take the car to a shop where they can do the installation. One of the problems is that the hydro tranny does not have a front mount like the cable, so that will require some thinking.
I am in the same cituation, I have three perfectly good hydro trannies, but I don't want to get into doing the whole swap thing. It is actually cheaper and probably a better solution to buy a new set of synchros and bearings and rebuild yours.

i guess i'm going to have to wait for the hasport kit then

rebuild my what?? ef tranny? its' a dx 4 speed. Maybe i'll look around for a 5spd cable tranny and see what i come up with. thanks anyways guys.
