Default is this a type r tranny!!!

k i noticed while under my civic my c5 motor has a new tranny matched to it, the code is 1106 503. is this a type r tranny?

look for a different code on the housing..
J4D,N3E are itr, R4D ctr.

exactly where on the trans shoul di look for these numbers and the LSD stamp

also where on the head is there a code to determine the type of head

on top of the bell housing, you can see it right when you look into the enging bay.

there is a stamp above the exhaust manifold that should say PR-3. not bigger than 2-3CM's

yeh ok my trans sayd j4d lsd, and my heads says pr 3-4.

secondly how can you tell the year of the head and trans.

this looks like some hot **** imo. usually when you buy legit motors, especially C5s you know what you're getting. year/miles everything.

baltimore, eh? it's probably my motor from #98-0106..

you do indeed have an ITR tranny it appears.. just not a very legit one..
