b18b lightened flywheel

Default b18b lightened flywheel

Im doin a b18b swap in my 92 hatch, i ordered a exedy organic racing clutch for it. I was wondering if i should do a lightened flywheel too while im doin the clutch. Also i have a lot of things about the LS traany gears sucking. Would a lightened flywheel make it better? Also how light should i go, i was thinkin about the ACT prolite 8.8lbs... thanks

I am using the exedy organic clutch and a clutch masters 8 pound flywheel and it is a nice combination. If you have the money i would say go for it.

I just got my CM 8 lb flywheel and CM stage 3 clutch kit. There is much better throttle response, and you slow down a bit quicker when coasting in gear. All in all, I like it.

i run the 8.8lb prolite on my d. whoever says they're tough to drive is full of crap. once you get used to it (5 hours tops) its great. it pulls harder in the midrange and top end, plus i can coast down a hill in gear and the tach magically just stays in one spot . i say get it!

will it make it feel like the gears arent as long. also u think 8.8lbs is too light for a daily driver?

when i did my ls swap into my 92 civic hatch i just replaced the cluch and machined the flywheel down (i was on a budget).. and it helps alot the rpms rise real nice.
