Default 5th Gen: SH or base model exhaust...whats the difference?

I am finding a lot of exhausts on here and ebay that are for an sh model..but no base model exhausts, at least one thats people will respond...my question is

What is the real difference?

Can i put an SH header on a base engine to use and SH exhaust......or does anyone have a decent-cheap base model exhaust..

thanks in advance

To my knowledge/experience, the only differnece is the length.

Steve, I think that only has to do with the header.

I just heard that the length of the cat-back system is the difference

I know when I received my exhaust in the mail... it was for a 97-01 prelude base, or sh... and it had a extention that you used for the base model, for the sh, you would leave the extention off. COuld be due to the header being longer.

CAI was sent out... will IM with confirmation #.

Holla

sh exhaust, (from OE CAT position) is (aprox)-4" than base, the hangars inthe the rear might be differnt also (but only cosmeticly). I've cut up a custom brullen for a base to fit my sh. but measure before you cut of course.

It should need about a 2 inch extension to make work.
