Default '88 LXI 5 Speed Conversion

I have a '88 LXI fuel injected automatic. Took it out in the snow and blew up the transmission. Reverse acts like another neutral and 4th gear just grinds.

Anyways, its time for a new tranny. I'm interested in converting over to a 5-speed but don't know if its feasable to attempt. Anybody have experience with this or know whats involved? I'm not sure whats already in the car or what I'll have to replace.

I came across a great 3rd gen accord site, go ask these guys, cause they know their shizznit.

http://www.3geez.com

just post on the appropriate forum and some 3rd gen genius should help you.

You could even consider a b-series engine swap if you wanted to and have the money...from what I understand, it's fairly cheap and relatively easy to do...(in terms of engine swaps, anyway.) See the site for more info, as they have lots of it.

Check the how to section on that site, and you'll find that not only is it feasible, but they tell you what you need, and how to do it if you're mechanically inclined.
