I have a 93 Explorer with a Sony Xplode deck (45x4 watts even though it doesn't mean anything) The one with the face that flips down... Also, I have this amp...



A Rockford Punch 500 that I want to install for the four new speakers.

What could you guys recommend? Can I put something else other than 6x8s in the front and back?

Edit : Bass doesn't matter for these, I want them just to sound damn good. I'm getting 12 inch subs also. (Yes, different amp)

 

Whats your budget? You can buy different size speakers but you will have to make an adapter for them to fit. I like infinity.

I'm looking at maybe $400 max for 4 speakers.

But I just dug some stuff up that we just bought earlier this year. Wondering if I can use either of them...

 

Just get the Clarion 5x7 plates , they sound awesome--they are roughly 150.00 a set---You could make those speakers work but it would take some work

 

Sell those and use the money to buy better speakers. You could make the bostons fit, I wouldn't bother with trying with the infinitys, they wouldn't sound as good as a pair of 5x7s.
