get the zc ecu.. the si ecu sucks with the zc... there's a world of difference... 150 cdn isnt too bad... zc ecu's tend to be rare so prices are higher. you're other alternative is the 88-89 teg pg7....but if you have a chance to get the pm5...get it.

PM5 is a Dx ECU. PM7 is the ZC I believe.

If i were you, I'd keep your PM6 and chip it or have it chipped with whatever maps you would like. Maps for stock PM7 exist. Save yourself about $140

I just bought a Toda Race PM7 off ebay for $120 shipped. I would check around somemore for a better deal. Btw the Toda ECU is for sale if anyone is interested as i bought a Spoon PM7 a while back and I'm gonna be using that instead. I'll also trade the Toda for a stock PM7 plus some cash

or send it to zdyne to get remapped for the zc (can even get the 112 speed limiter removed). Better than wasting $140 on another ecu, imho, and you know that you've got a good ecu in your hands.

the 88-89 integra ecu works good too(PG7). Better than the si, but not as good as the ZC. You could get one off ebay for like $30. I got mine for $32 shipped.

From what I've read you can't chip 88 and 89 PM6 ECU's. Need a 90 or 91 in order to chip it.

I still get a kick out of how much you guys paid for your PM7's. I got mine for under 13 bux heh

All JDM Ecus have it, Japanese law requires all vehicle on the road to have a 112 mph speed limiter programmed in. If you don't plan on racing why worry about it being there. I don't. By the way I paid $89 for my PM7 on ebay.

Well you certain its not been chipped. Japanese law required it, On new vehicles yours could have been remapped after it was produced.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by black89crxsi &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

Well mine has never been driven fast enough to confirm. But speedo's are notoriously inaccurate, much moreso at those speeds. I know for a fact PM7 and several other JDM ECU's have limiters in because the code exists in them for that very thing. I have a JDM PM7 (there are NO USDM PM7 ecu's) BUt my car has never been faster than 95.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by black89crxsi &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

And you are certain you have a PM7 and not a PM6 or PG7 ecu, Only an unmolested PM7 has a speed limiter of the three. I am certain the car is capible of it, particularly with a DOHC ZC, but not with a factory JDM ECU. Computer would hold it back. I know at 90 mine is pulling way hard but wasn't worth risking a ticket to see what it would do. To me anyway.

just open it up and look ...like 4 or 5 philleps screws and pop the top cover off then you can see if its chipped or not
