the One way check valve lets the boost gauge see the pressure but doesn't release it and the gauge will stay there. You use the other vacume line with open close T that will release the pressure. Just run with it open all the time. When you want it to hold boost just close the T fitting.
WOW good idea. I would do that right now, but Ive already sold all my guages and getting out of the FI world.
hahahaha, thats old news but the T fitting is Great. Back in 95 we used to put check vavle to see what the max boost was and would have to disconnect to bleed the pressure. making the T fitting logn so you can mount it on your dash would be great. in dash manuel peak/hold boost gauge.
Come on all yo ubuget guys who cant afford, Greddy, APEXi, DEFI, oh wait that inculdes me.

I can't remember what gave me this idea I have never even really tried it before.
Clever DSM guys, most of us Honda guys would have dropped a grand on some nice Defi gauges to do that.

Thats what I would assume the Tee is for.

yeah thats what the T is for. turn the T to release the pressure.
Leave the T open to make the gauge work normaly. Then turn the T closed to make it a peak and hold boost gauge.

This idea is to SAVE money. Not everyone has money for a datalogger. Not everyone has money for DEFI or Greddy gauges. Thanks everyone else
Or, get a 2nd boost guage for the "datalogger", and a primary for regular driving.
"Ive got two boost guages because Im twin turbo y0!"

when the T is open, wont the boost pressure leak out? I mean, if it will vent out on the way back, what stops it from venting on the way there.
buy a electronics boost controller that has the peak boost hold feature. problem solved
besides doesnt everyone have enough vacuum hoses and TEE fittings everywhere? lol

Look at the diagram, the T just routs the signal back around the check valve.
