Default Will H&R springs give a good drop with 14's?

I have some light *** 14's on my hatch but cant stand that 4x4 style it has. I was thinking of purchasing some h&r springs but a friend said that it wouldnt lower my ride hardly at all because i have 14 inch wheels and that they dont lower it that much anyways. Is he right ?? What are some other setups that wont run the budget up too high??

Yeah, depends on which model. If they're H&R OEMs then you probably won't notice much. H&R Races will give you a very substantial drop but will require aftermarket shocks. Check out http://www.hrsprings.com to see how much each model will lower your car. If you're seriously worried about getting the right drop, get coilovers.

My car is very low.

I can tuck 195/50/15s which have a diameter of ~22.7 inches.

With these tires, 175/50/13s, I have a bit ( ) of a gap. Diameter is 20 inches.

Moral of the story?
It's not about wheel diameter, it's about tire diameter.

Unless you're trying to tuck the wheel.

get the H$r race drop perfect for 14's and you dont have to have aftermarket struts, but it would be nice.
i love the race drop ive had it on the last couple cars i had with 14's. worked great for me
