Default turbo manifold material

I am looking into making a turbo exhaust manifold. I am wondering what would be the best material and thickness to make the tubing and flanges out of. thanks for the help.

Stainless is the best, but mild or stainless schedule 40 will do the job nicely. Flanges should be 3/8", some prefer 1/2" mild steel. Stainless flanges expand and snap bolts, no bueno. Let me know if you need any material or have any questions!
