Default 89 crx w/B16a need new starter, which one?. Already did search.

Ok, Ive got a 89 crx with a JDM B16a with cable trans. I need to replace my starter but I am not sure which one to get. Is it a 90-91 integra or is it a 92-93 integra GSR or is it 94 and up gsr. Too add another prob to the list the starter I have on the car I don’t think originally came with the motor so just matching up the old starter with a new one will just get me another wrong starter, please help push starting by yourself sucks!

im pretty sure any b-series manual transmission starter will fit. i have a b16 cable tranny and im using a 98 spec itr starter. only thing that was different was the lengths of the bolts holding the starter in.

Yes sir, all b series starters will bolt right up. but, as in my first post all those years have different part numbers and you can also throw an automatic style starter into the mix. I think the difference is in the flywheel back spacing. Or the depth of the ring gear on the flywheel in relation to the starter mounting area.
