transmission input shaft bearing? for b16 in crx

Default transmission input shaft bearing? for b16 in crx

i put a b16 in my crx and my tranny needs a input shaft bearing? the bell housing is stamped with YSK-1. can i get this bearing from an american honda or acura tranny or do i need to get it from a jap one? where can i get it? glizcrx@aol.com

No.... it's a different size from 90-91 and 92-93. Unless your transmission says YS1 on the sticker, then you stick with the 90-91 throwout bearing and clutch disc.... that's for A1, S1, Y1, and J1 transmissions.

Actually there are differences in the 90-91 Integra tranny to the 92-93. The input shaft is smaller in diameter on the 90-91 LS tranny's making the bearing different. You'll need to match it up with one, chances are it will be the 92-93 style.

Not really, because all S1's, J1's, and Y1's that I've seen (don't have a A1 to check, and don't feel like going under the car to look at the YS1) all have the YSK-1 on the diff casing. If you have a B16A swap, and it's not a grey-plug motor, it's most likely a smaller input shaft (90-91) transmission so use those parts.
