What to do to my ITR?
Hey all ITR ppl can u help me out with decisions on parts for my car cause i am thinking on running an all motor ITR .Heres what i got planned for my ITR:Aem V2 CAI,dcsports4-1 headers,skunk2 intake manifold, apex gt spec exhaust, and a hondata. If u have any suggestions on what i should do or better parts for my car it would be appreciated much thanks.

The only thing I like out of that list is the hondata. The skunk2 IM is a copy of the one already on your car. Get the mugen instead of that AEM. Get a nice hytech or sms header instead of that dc. And get a nice custom exhaust from kteller8 for less than 300 and weld on whatever muffler you like.
hmmm, not to be too harsh, but you have a lot to learn. Those mods wont "kill V8s all day". There are thousands of different set ups and parts to consider when building up the car. In retrospect, I would have done things differently, and probably just learned to drive the car for what it is (on a track) and realizing how capable it is from the factory. THEN move on to power parts, gearing, TIRES, etc to help me go faster. The ITR is not a drag car, and if you want to kill these V8s all day long, you will most likely want to go turbo (ooops, I opened a whole new can of worms
). Either way you are gonna spend a lot of l00t. Stick around here for awhile, use the search, and you can learn a TON of information.

i sure hope to God you learn to drive and protect the R.
edit: i hope you learn to drive at the track. also, if you wanted a drag car, get a domestic. dodge neon SRT-4 is a good idea.

You don't need the Skunk2 manifold as it's basically a direct copy of the stock R manifold. What you may want to do is get the Spoon throttle body and port match the stock manifold to the throttle body for better airflow. Also look beyond DC for a header, I know that a lot places advertise them as good and cost effective, but they do little for you when compared to headers such as Toda, JUN, Hytech, SMSP, etc. For a more cost effective header, look at AN-R, they seem to be well made and have good horsepower numbers attached to them.
I personally wouldn't run the AEM V2, I'd just get a "short ram" system, you have less pressure drop across the intake, and get good midrange power.
About the A'PEXi GT Spec, I have one and wouldn't recommend it to anyone running only bolt ons with their motor, take a good look at the N1, but let me warn you that it's loud as hell.
Hondata would be good for what you plan to run, but personally I'd make do with just a VAFC, also you may want to look into slightly larger injectors.

Aem V2 CAI - never made for the ITR, nothing more than a regular AEM
dcsports4-1 headers - headers? how many do you need? A USDM sized header won't help you.
skunk2 intake manifold - wow, so you are going to replace the stock IM with one that is IDENTICAL????
apex gt spec exhaust - you can do much better.
and a hondata - what do you need a hondata for when you basically have an intake with stock-sized piping (seeing as your exhuast and header would be not much better at all than the stock pieces.)

Sad but true.
Sad but true.
right now i have a low jack system but soon im getting a viper alarm system,a clutch guard and a kill switch so that i have at least a somewhat good advantage on the theives.u guys have given me good advice so far but keep on given me more for i do need to learn how to drive the hell out of it and then do some hella good research on parts and car specs thank u all.

If you plan to be running with v8's, you may have the wrong car... unless you plan to put some serious $$ and i mean thousands into the motor. Browse these forums for a few weeks and learn as much as you can before you start wasting money on things.
I'm pretty much in the same position as you because i just got my ITR about 4 or 5 months ago anc all the type R guys i talk to always tell me to learn how to drive yo R 1st. GET A ALARM ON YO **** ASAP. After Winter is ova i'ma look for a J's racing intake and maybe a some SMSP or spoon headers. Exhaust is fine for now cuz i don't want to be loud and plus the stock exhaust is fine. Right now just learn to drive yo **** hard like i've been doin lately. But if u don't wanna wait then go ahead and do what u gotta do. If u wanted to Drag then Dogde SRT-4 is best for you. They some fast motherfucka i made to the mistake in messing wit one of those just because and i got fucked up really bad. Mopar don't **** around. But anyways enjoy yo R

The benefit of an SMSP or Spoon header would be minimal without a good exhaust and proper tuning. And no offense but please learn proper English.

LOL! What you have to consider when doing any kind of airflow modification is that increasing airflow only on one part of the system usually doesn't do a lot of good. But when you get a good intake, throttle body, manifold, header, cat, and exhaust, you will make much more power simply due to the fact that the entire system flows better, not just one part.
