02 RSX Auto (for Turbo, no boost lag) DC sport 4-1 headers, Injen Short ram intake, tanabe racing medallion cat back, VIS cf hood, Apexi VAFC II, sprint springs. What would be a good next part? Save for turbo. Thats the only reason you have an auto you might as well go big and get it. Or just save and swap a k20a into that beast.

So if you bought a automatic RSX just for "no boost lag", WHY did you get aftermarket headers, and a intake that will no longer work if you actually do turbo the car?

 

Bought headers because i had the money and i want something "now" i guess you could say. i know headers are a waste when i'm going turbo, but i still wanted them. I think I might go with camshafts. any pros and cons? cost $$, and would make v tec stronger by isn't it 20 hp? i think. but for turbo wouldn't it be, not bad, but would rather have not have gotten them? something to that effect. thanks.

Try to achieve a fast street car. 12's is my goal. whether i get there or not is another question. I think I'm going with camshafts next. which would you people perfer? i heard Toda was good? any other suggestions? thanks.

 

There are no Toda cams for the base, and the base doesn't have the performance version of VTEC/VTC, and upgraded NA cams could have overlap that make them incompatible with turbo... so it's not clear what you want to do. For performance VTEC cams you'd have to look into changing the head, but then it wouldn't work with the auto trans ECU. Also the manual trans has much better gear ratios for acceleration than the auto, so 12's are gonna be that much harder... but then again, I've seen a 400WHP Stage II turbo RSX-S run at the track, 13.3-13.8, just about impossible to get into the 12's on street tires.

Maybe check with Cybernation to see what plans they may have for an RSX auto turbo kit w/upgraded internals, then you don't have to buy any extras like cams.

got off work and was driving around looking for races. found my friends were driving around too. make illegal u turn across 3 lanes of traffic, followed them. raced my one friend, then i made the light but they ran it, right in front of a cop. so my one friend pulled into a empty sav ons parking lot and chilled, i made another illegal behind the cop at the light, then pulled up next to him, then turned, made another u turn into the parking lot, got out, waited for my other friend. he gets there, were talking about things, then i go behind dumpsters to go to pee, and while peeing, a cop pulls up. i'm like ****. o well, finished peeing, walk out, then the cop was there making everyone stand alone and with hands out, then 4 more cops showed up. crazy, took all our id's and ran them, bs'd with the other cops about how we race and stomp on cars, then the cop comes back and gives us our things back and bs'd a lil more and left. sooooo crazy

how about you slow down and actually type something we can understand......

 

are there going to be any problems with the torque converter on this auto as you get higher in the HP? most import 4 autos have horrible upgrade potential because of weak TCs.

I think most of the "flames" were in reference to his retarded night out story that contained illegal actions such as street racing. I don't see how that involves his "car smarts".
