Default Alarm Wired to Horn Bad Idea??

I just noticed this last night while putting on my new cat. The horn and it's wires are exposed under the passengers side front fender. It looks as though you could just cut the wires and the horn would be disabled.

Is this the case?

I was deeply disturbed when I saw this because when I hade my first Type-R the people who installed the alarm said it was better to have it wired to the horn and not to a siren.

Yes I would think it's bad. All they have to do is cut those two wires . . . .

I have a siren with a battery built in. IF they cut the wires to the siren, It goes off and doesn't stop unill the battery runs out (Hours) or untill I insert a key into the siren itself and turn it off.

It also detects a power loss, so if the car battery is disconnected, same thing.

Wire an aftermarket alarm to the horn? How lame. YES that means they just cut the wires. This just happened to a friend of mine, TWICE in 1 month. His old alarm was wired to the horn, so the would-be theives cut the wires, but he went to use his horn, like the next day and it didn't work. He eventually found out the wires were cut. He got it repaired, got an aftermarket alarm installed and in a few weeks, someone (assuming the same idiots) cut them again, probably intending to make another attempt on the car AND stole his front lip.

PUNKAZZ thieves!

I have mine wired to three horns (factory, siren w/battery backup and another that is placed under the car). I'm sure if they want it they will still get it but this might stop some punk a$$.
