Default b16a swap question

I have a 94 EX Coupe. RIght now, it has the stock SOCH 1.6 VTec (d16z6), with AT. I am planning to do a SiR II (b16a) swap, with a 5 sp MT. What are some problems that I might encounter while trying to do this, going from AT to MT?

According to some people I talked with, it may not be worth it. But, I really do want to do a swap, but its going to be the last thing I do. Next is rims, rest of the body kit, lower, intake AND then finally swap.

sounds to me like its stock. sell it and get a manual to start off with. less hassle in the end.

Haha, thats not an option. I would rather just convert everything myself, with the help of friends. Back to my original question... Are there some big problems that I would run into with converting the tranny, and swapping the engine?

The swap should not be the problem. Plus you're prewired for vtec. The only problem you will encounter is fitmet of the stick shaft. You might need to expand the opening, check out what people have to do for an H22A swap in a 92-95 hatch. Don't quote me on this though, I just hope it gives some insight.

This is almost exactly opposite of what it would do! I would never go for show before go! The engine is what makes the car! Not the stickers and the bumpers!

Alot of people are converting from AT to ST these days

It's definately a fun little project if you haven't done any before, its nothing too complicated (the 5spd conversion part).

Give us an update on how it goes.
