Default Anyone seen this? Broken Pressure plate

Some background: 1998 Civic with an edelbrock turbo charged D16Y8 motor. Received a new Spec Stage 3, 6 Puck clutch and put it in. Ran the clutch normal for about 500 miles. 1 week. Tried to launch the car Sunday and the clutch went out. Well, took the clutch out and this is what I found.

Has anyone ever seen a pressure plate do this?

i'd say that had something to do with it. why do you need that agressive of a clutch?

That almost makes me want to say that it wasn't either...

1) Broken in properly
2) Installed properly

I'd call the manufacturer and tell them what happened and get them to replace it.

I would definately say you need to call the manufacturer and fax them a pic or send an email with a pic.

This just isn't a I/H/E modified D16. It's pushing over 200 whp. Can see most of the mods at http://www.cardomain.com/id/98civicrider Only new new stuff, is an Apex-i AVC-R boost controller, fluidyn radiator.

Here's some before Pictures. It's a SPEC stage 3, 6 puck clutch. It has sprung disk.

now that i look at it closely it doesn't seem to have any scars at all... im thinking its defective. also its coincidental to me anyways that it broke in nearly all the same spots. seems like one good shift smacked the plate and cracked it evenly.

dont tell em the miles though when you send it back.

Looks like a bad install to me, PP was torqued way to high
id try warranty, but they'll want the clutch shipped id bet
and then they'd figure it out

I can bet it's a bad install. Or unless it wasn't broken in at all.
