Going to Pennsylvania for ski season. Flying sucks, always gotta drive for the scenery
With the recent snow storm up there, I'm concerned the Azenis aren't going to do too well with the melting snow/ice seeing as though they aren't that great in the Florida rains. What do you all use during the winter/snow/cold season?
Oh and I did search: No Results Found

Please try different search criteria or a different data set.

a lot of that snow is gonna melt tonight with some rain. might wanna wait about a month so we get a nice snow pack. some of the resorts are open but not near full operation.
Firestone has a new snow tire out and its SICK.

Nokian Hakkapeliitas...
Relatively noisy on asphalt (R's are noisy already, our engines'll probably mask most of the sound anyway...
), but awesome in snow and ice...
I'm sure they will last you forever, seeing as they will not get much use while you are in Florida...

Dont know what your skill level is, but http://www.mountaincreek.com in northern NJ has a pretty good park and super pipe set up for this year. Not sure if all that will be complete by the time you get up here though. I usually go up to stratton though and dont usually ride around here much.

oh geez. if your going there let me know. i'll break out my ski stuff that i haven't used in 4 years.
blue mountain is smaller but fun. you start from the top of the mountain instead of the base which is kinda cool. couple **** holes local too. whenever i go to camelback its always ice and not good on probably the narrowist trails in the Poconos

if your gonna ski in PA, you gotta wait till feb or so.. otherwise, its boring. cover the whole mountain in 1/2 day..
since we are stuck on the east coast, might as well do it right, head up to VT! mt snow and killington are great areas, and lots of fun.. but i think its been a slow start for them so far this season too..
oh,and ya, im with jeff, either way, get gislaveds!

How often are you going to drive on the tires?
I just put a set of Blizzak LM-22's on my car. Haven't had a chance to test them out in the snow yet, but dry traction is nice and they're less 'mushy' feeling than the WS-50's.

<=== been rocking the Michelin Pilot Alpins in stock size for three winters now (rolling on steelies). Those tires are perfect for the R - not bad on the highway (H rated) and decent in the white stuff... I've driven through 4+ unplowed inches of the white stuff without much difficulty.

If you looked at the post I linked you to, instead of the most recent posts, you would have found exactly the advice you were looking for.

As Mae West once said (not to me) - "4 inches? Is that all you've got?"
