Dam'n thats sucks. Make that two black ones. Another kid I know from Jersey lost his NBP '01 with a brand new Greddy Turbo kit installed last week. It was parked at Chi Chi's in Bergen. Thats all I know.

That sucks. The only thing that I can say is that if you have a NBP that is a daily driver, take off your wing and stickers and get some rims that cover the 5-lugs. If you don't, your car can be picked out in 2 secs by ANYONE. make it harder to spot.

I don't think it will ever stop.
Even after that bigass bust in Canada. You think that would have scared the ******.

Get details if possable. What kind of alarm was he running, etc.

Just got a little more details. He lives near Giants Stadium (one of those towns) and unfortunately he is not "into" the import scene so doesn't know about all of the crazy thefts. He had the car parked in his driveway, near his bedroom window, in regular stock condition = functional power window locks, and no (repeat, no) security devices besides the immobilizer. I wish I knew, I would of told him how to secure (I use this term loosely) an ITR.

I saw an FBP ITR today in Stamford, Connecticut with the Acura side skirts. It sounded like it had an AEM and exhaust. Driven by a young kid with a baseball hat. Was this any of you guys? around 3pm today? I didn't get the license plates. He blew past me while I was tortoise'ing myself onto the highway. (At times I just drive very slow, with a nice CD and just take my time. Especially after last Tuesday...)

yes, poor guy! our buddy is an excellent autox'er, he turns times on the stock re010's that are close to itr's on r-compound. i'm sure pollo and i have mentioned the high theft rate to him many times. it will be interesting to see what he replaces it with...
dave, let me know when you'll be in stamford next! we'll meet up for a drive or a beer.

That sucks. Someone tried stealing mine last night, or just wanted to do some damage... either way, busted window, cut up dash and seat, and scratched door. This is just bad!

Maybe we can contact good ol' Mr. Bush and tell him we are being terrorized and we should rid the import scene off all evil.

Sorry to hear about that. That's why my car is always in the garage or in the secure facility I work in. It never gets parked anywhere else. I hope he finds it in good shape or gets something else he likes better.

man the type r (import) scene in the states is insane
my suggetsions is, dont drive the R anywhere unless u are within 50m of it 99% of the time, and drive a beater the rest of the time. Its said but from what ive heard on here its getting down to drastic measures like this.
makes me sick

Beater! Beater! Beater! I have an '84 volkswagen rabbit with 243k miles on it. I leave it unlocked and park it anywhere. Cuz I dont care what happens to it. I paid 800 bucks for it and its stone reliable. I never drive my R or my Sol to places where I'll be away from it. No way, never.

Man...Jersey is the LAST place Id bring my car...I feel sorry for you guys who live in the #1 Stolen Car Capital!!!

I think everyone with an attractive import needs to start taking serious measures for security, especially you guys. There are just too many bad seeds and punk theives that are into these cars.

Default Who?

David...who was the victim? First name only please. I met you in Giants Stadium a few weeks ago and I'm hoping it's not one of the guys I was hanging out with.

This theft problem is insane.

Yeh, it is Tad. His car was stolen. (the guy who was autocrossing last time at Giants Stadium) What sucks is that his Miata is also in the shop. What really makes me angry is that Tad is a TRUE driver. He can post autocross times on street tires that rivals R-compound tires. Evil people are so annoying.

Poor Tad! I just spoke to him regarding selling my Millenia wheels! I was also going to visit a friends house right near that area to show him my R- guess what? I'm not going
He only enjoyed the car for a few months, that really blows
