US attacks = no US RSX-R?
You guys ****** kill me.That is the last thing I am concerned with. You my friend are a jackass of the highest order.Thousands of people are dead and you are worried about a silly car
Thank you for your honesty.
BUT THIS IS HONDATECH's RSX FORUM!!
I do my talking, healing, mourning with my family and friends. And as it is a non-political non-judgemental hobby information resource, I like to come here to temporarily forget about the negatives for a few moments.
And now back to my original question? How are imported cars going to be affected by these events?

Cosidering Japan didn't attack us, I would assume the likely hood of us getting the car(if we were in the first place)is no different.
I figure at least some of the American public will have their sense of patriotism lit off by all this; thus increasing the chance that they'll buy american rather than foreign. It's just a thought. You're probably right. If anything, a war will stimulate the economy and encourage more auto purchases.
By the way, where is the RSX built?

it's built in japan, at the saitama plant, on the line(s) that formerly turned out preludes.
and whether or not this is a "political" board or not, i find it incredibly insulting to those who have suffered or died as a result of last tuesday's actions to even contemplate any possible connection between those atrocities and your chances of getting a new honda. it implies, intention or not, that somehow they are of even vaguely similar importance. not only that, but it's in poor taste.

Words from my dad... Who was on a Canadian corvette protecting American merchant ships on the run to Murmansk Russia during the second world war ( After you hear him tell you about what happens to ships and people when they were torpedoed in the North Atlantic, the smart *** comments stop )... When things were really nasty... the ONLY THING that kept everybody sane and feeling even remotely human was believing that they were winning ( which they wern't at first )
and relying on each other... and that meant not fighting among them selves...
I must also be a bad person because I booked holidays and promised my kids a trip to disneyland long before those damn airplanes took off...And I'm worried that we all may not get to go... No matter who you are or where you live in north america.. this tragedy will affect you. This may not be the forum for it, but if someone has a question or concern stemming from these events, no matter how slight, why shouldn't he or she ask? Aren't we here to help each other out?
Or is this just a fair weather group of people?
Don't get confused... the enemy is not on this forum, But I'm sure he would smile to know that he has caused our population to start to split
