Is OBD1 P72 Gs-r ecu safe and better to run with stock H22?
Hi guys. I just got my P72 ecu because I am going turbo soon, and I need this ecu to socket for Hondata because Hondata isn't compatible with a P13 ecu. In the meantime, should I just leave the P13 ecu in my car or should I run the P72? It seems like P72 pulls harder, but it might just be in my head. It also seems to be running smoother when I was testing to see if it worked. Anyone on H-T with an H22 running a P72 Gsr ecu, and how do you like it?
it will run your motor lean because of the smaller displacement motor that it is intended for...you might as well just leave the p13 in there just to be safe...either that or talk to someone who is willing to chip it to your h22 needs...
the p72 is nice until about 3500rpm and then sucks *** til about 5500rpm. I ran it for a while and got to really hate it. I wont run iti again unless its my only choice or I chip it with aan h22a program.
there is a dyno on import builders/import review's website
as much as i think that company totally blows, they have a dyno chart of a stock p13 vs a stock p72, why anyone would run a stock p72 without hondata on an h22a, 1, or 4 is beyond my comprehension
