Prelude news....
Hey everyone... Since my lude got killed i've been thinking about getting something else and haven't really come up with anything.... So, i'm planning to buy my car back from insurance, get a 4th gen. prelude S or Si and swap all the parts. I'm stayin in the family YO! I miss that car way too much to get something else now... Aren't you guys happy?! Well, if you're not, you should be damn it!
Oh oh, and if you have a lude for sale lemme know pls.
I don't care if it runs or not, or if its stripped.... As long as the body is straight I'll take it off your hands.

You're in the exact same situation I was back in the summer of 2002. I had a 95 Prelude VTEC (hence the "95" in my name) and my lude got rearended and totalled. I bought it back from insurance because the motor and tranny itself is worth more than I paid the insurance company to buy it back.
I thought about getting some other cars instead, like the FD RX7, 3000GT VR4, even a Honda Accord sedan and swapping the H22A1 setup in there...BUT, after researching it more and evaluationing my situation I knew I wanted another 4th gen Prelude. I can maintain the car myself and it's such an excellent car for the money, and inexpensive to maintain. I thought about getting a Prelude S or Si, but I just had this craving for the 4th gen black leather interior...so I found a perfect 1994 Prelude VTEC with azure blue-green leather interior and I just couldn't resist. My '95 had tan leather, but I just wanted to get the black so badly that I didn't take advantage to the less expensive idea of swapping it over to a Prelude S or Si.
Another advantage to getting another Prelude VTEC would be that you could pull the engine on your wrecked Prelude and take all the time you need to have it rebuilt for some serious NA power or turbo, then when it's done, swap it with the current stock H22A1 in the new car and sell that engine and pay back the cost of buying your car back
