I am looking at an 88 2.0si. it has 100k on it. to me that is waaaayyyy too much. i want to put an h22 in it but i am not sure if it will fit or not. any advice? does anyone know if it is a possible swap?

100k? thats just broken in....

 

Your taking on a HUGE project to swap in an H22 and make it fit ... theres a lot of fitment issues and the engine mount kit from (place racing?) is pretty inaccurate.

100k is nothing. Mine has twice that and takes the abuse like a trooper. Possibly the easiest option may be to turbocharge it. The engines seem to respond fairly well to it, and provided you are careful with your tuning there's no reason it can't last a long time. It'd probably be about the same price as an H22 swap.
