Default stupid question time!! Distributor compatabilties?

I have a 88 Dx hatch 4 speed, i am going to put a ZC SOHC in there(non realated to the question),il use the original intake and exhuast manifolds,,, so no REwiring of any sort for MPFI. i NEED A distributor, i didnt get one with the car. will a 90 CRX DX distributor work for me? Ill be using the stock 88 DX wiring harness. i read some post about stuff (plugs) being different. Both cars are DX 1.5's so i i dont see a problem, but 88 is known as the wierd year compared to 89-91's. thanks to all that help me out!

both are 1.5L = wrong
the DX is 1.5L and ZC SOHC is a 1.6L motor
they are not both MPFI... ur car is DPFI and ZC is MPFI
u can use that motor on ur car using ur stock ecu, intake and exhaust manifold but.........
BUT WHYYYYYYYYYYY

just convert to MPFI and be on good side

nah man, i meant the 90 CRX DX dizzy i may buy and the 88 DX i have now are both 1.5's i know the SOHC ZC is a 1.6 ive gone through 12 of them!

i swap the DX ******* intake mani to the ZC, so i dont have to convert,,, why might you ask?? i paid 400$ for the car, clean title, no rust, clean body, its going to be my daily beater, it will have a trailer hitch so i can tow my raptor. so simplicity is key for the DD vehicle... thanks!
