question on dc5 rear lip
For those of you who installed the lip yourself...did you have to take the back bumper off to drill holes? and how many holes did you need to drill? I have mine on with just screws on both sides and the center is sagging a little. Tried double-sided tape with no luck

Just let me know...I get off work at 6pm EST.

i got US OEM lip instruction from clubrsx, but i was thinking maybe i can just put double-sided tapes to mount the center so it doesn't sag. Tried that this morning but i think i put the tape on the wrong place because i put it on the lip itself when i should put them on the mounting brackets (points) instead. I'll try that later, if not then i have to take the bumper off which i'm not looking forward to

JDM lip, when I installed mine, I used the double sided take that was on it on the sides, and I drilled 6 holes (took off the bumper). I sold it to a friend who said he didn't take off the bumper and just used double sided tape all around. now I have6 holes in my bumper...
oh well, i would think his rear lip would be easier to steal though...=\
BTW: as for where to drill (which is what I advise you to do for security reasons I guess), there are little dimples along the inside of the bumper. Don't drill on all of them though because some of those dimples are for the OEM lip. the lower dimples I think are for the JDM lip. just test fit and check out where the bolts line up to on the JDM rear lip. I think there are 2 existing holes on the sides, and 6 more brackets from the JDM rear lip for you to drill holes to. Good luck.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Where did your friend apply the double-sided tapes? You see, I tried that by applying directly on the lip itself and it wasn't sticking on the bumper at all. I figured it was because the lip and the bumper are only touching around the edge area, so it's sort of like this |\ where | is the lip and \ is the bumper
do you think it might work if i put tapes on the brackets where the screws are supposed to mount? i'm only looking for a quick fix for now until i have time to take the bumper off and drill. But even then i don't think i will drill 6 holes like i'm supposed to...just the 2 on the center
here's a picture i stole from someone...notice how the mounting brackets are tilted 45 degrees angle:
