hid into jdm itr non hid headlights

i was thinking of putting in hid's into my non hid jdm itr projectors. anybody tried this yet? what kinda results did you get?
size is different...won't be easy

I used the BMW X5 HID's. Not hard to do, but you cant see too well with the reflector setup in the actual headlight. Have had them in for almost a year now though and they still work
i was planning on doing the same thing for awhile, but people told me that the headlight housings are different and the non hid housings wont help out much (i don't know the differences really)... how are the bmw x5's?? got pix?

the non hid projectors have an upper and lower shield inside the projector. anyboby know if the hid projectors have both shields as well?
