Looking for real dyno numbers on the an-r header
there are several threads in which people are making claims that the an-r compact header makes good power over the JDM 4-1 or DC JDM 4-1. I have searched exensively and have found nothing. There is one dyno chart of the header on a b16B, but there are no baseline numbers.
Anyone ever dyno the compact an-r header?

I dont think even Anr has a dyno chart, or plans to. You'd think a company would want some kind of data to promote 'their design.'

Heh, you would think so. The funny thing is, if they had one, I would still be skeptical. Everyone knows you never believe dyno charts from parts manufacturers.
At any rate I am very intersted in seeing some numbers on this header. It has been out long enough... You would think SOMEONE somewhere would have tested it by now.

i want to know also....still stuck btw an-r and headertech. i've seen the headertech on the shootout so i know it's well worth it.

I can almost garauntee the headertech will put down better numbers than the AN-R...

You are correct regarding this aspect, no matter what kind of dyno plot we display someone will claim that it was manipulated in one way or another.

Have you seen any pro racers and/or 9/10 sec cars run headertech headers? Headers on ALL the 9sec all motor cars are made by our fabricator, can any other company make the same claim?

which header was that dyno for? the normal an-r or the compact version? can you give more specs on the motor? any baseline?
one of the curves is labeled JDM. I assume that this is the JDM ITR header we are comparing to. is this correct?

Anyway, as soon as mine gets here(dunno when that will be)and I have time to mate it up to my exhaust, I will get it on the dyno vs a dc 4-2-1 h22 header ................John
here is a dyno of the compact header done by our customer.
"Stock CTR engine with the AN-R header in those pics, J's racing intake, exhaust and chipped P28 ecu. No tuning at all."

It is not that I don't trust manufacturer dynos, they just usually don't provide much information on how it was tested. There are a million variables... You can't help but wonder...
As for the claim of having the same fabricator... That sounds cool, but it doesn't mean it is going to make anymore power than any other header. The headertech has been proven to make excellent power over the JDM itr on a number of independent dyno tests. Thats why I said that.
I really really hope the AN-R compact does make more power. I have one on the way right now. I was told it should be shipping this week.

with the street collector, dont you have to have the collector welded to the rest of the exhaust since it doesnt have the merge collector?

you have to get the pipe after the collector welded on. I think its sold like this to reduce shipping costs
