will a '98 gsr stereo fit in a '95 ls?
will a '98 gsr stereo/cd fit in my '95 ls? the one i'm looking at has the cd built into the tuner and a cd pocket (ie, space filler) below it. i'm curious b/c my oem deck had the cd separate, sitting above the tuner that took up the whole space, no pocket.
well, my original stereo/cd took up a rather large space in my dash...approx the size of 2 standard decks. the tuner/cassette was the bottom half, and the cd was the top half. the one i'm thinking of buying also appears to be in two halves, but the bottom half is a cd pocket (dead space, if you will), while the top half has a combined tuner/cd. you said earlier i wouln't use the cd pocket, but if i only used the tuner/cd, it doesn't look like it would fill up the space in the dash.
it appears to be about the same size as mine, but i want to be absolutely sure it will fit without modification. that being said, do you think it will (assuming the plug in the back is the same)?

Sorry, I didnt know which headunit you were gonna use. If you are going to use the combined tuner/cd player which is a single din then yes you will need the cd pocket to fill up the other din slot.
