Default rear brakes removal question

I'm removing my rear suspension to replace all the bushings, but my helms and haynes manuals aren't very helpful. I need to disconnect the parking brake and brake lines, but everything's encrusted with road crap and I can't tell where I'm supposed to do it.

Here's a guess for the parking brake: unhook the cable from the lever inside the drum, then pop it out through the hole by pressing in on the metal springy tabs. Am I right? I don't want to take any chances with my brakes.

I'm clueless as to where to disconnect the brake line. Also, what should I use to plug it? Thanks.

if your ar e removing the hydrolic lines for the rear beakes, u can plug them to keep fluid from running all over your garage/driveway. but you will need to bleed the brakes when u put everything back together.

The easiest way to disconnect the brake line is to just disconnect it from the wheel cylinder I'm not sure how you would plug it though...maybe with a some vacume plugs from the parts store. Anytime you disconnect a brake line you have to bleed the brakes...don't forget.

If everything is rusted and dirty use lots of wd-40 on the brake lines before you turn the fittings loose
