Interior takes for ever to warm up
I just recent replaced my thermostat since it was sticking. And ive noticed that my interior does not get that warm at all. but yet my friend with a 94 ex coupe his interiro makes me sweat. ihave all my interior pieces in and is still cant figure out why its not getting hot
the problem is most likely with the heater core it is located under the dash on the passengers side there are two hoses that run from the motor into the firewall they are connected to the h/c,it works much like a radiator cause coolant flows through it and your blower motor forces air through the fins to create the hot air.it is possible to have an air pocket trapped in the cooling system that is not allowing coolant to flow through the h/c,but it is probably clogged.you can do three things #1 take the cap off your radiator when the car is not hot, start your car and turn your heater on and to the hottest setting let the motor get hot and watch for air bubbles to appear at the radiator opening it might take up to 15-20min. if coolant level goes down just top off.#2 back flush the h/c by installing an adapter from the auto parts store when finished add coolant to your system and follow step #1
if you still dont have heat replace the heater core and follow the directions in a haynes or chiltons manual.
