Vavle Adjustment Question (Not typical question)
I have been reading some posts about valves getting adjusted and what not. Im going to be getting mine done tomorrow and im at the 42k mark without an adjust yet. Well here is my main question...
Is it possible for the dealer if they found that there was something wrong (i.e. bent valves, compression not right) or something like that, stick me with the bill. I have no reason to speculate that there is anything wrong with my engine. It runs storn and great, not very noisy but im not sure what valves sound like in the first place. But I am so friggen paranoid about my car. I dont want the technitions to **** it uo. And im to paranoid to do it my self.
Just wondering if anybody heard of the dealer messing up one of your cars. I mean I call them asking for parts for my type-R and they always think im asking about a Type-S. They almost sold me the wrong **** for my car before thinging i have a type-s when i told them like 10 times I has a type-r.

if you take it in for a valve adjustment and they find something else wrong, they will notify you to see if you want them to go ahead to fix the problem. hope that's what you were asking.
What it really comes down to is this...
If you don't do the work yourself, then you have to trust whoever that you take it too to to do a good job. I'm sure there is nothing wrong with your motor and even if there was, they can't charge you for something without asking you first. You're not going to walk in when it's done and find out that they rebuilt the head and you owe them $2,000.
As long as they know what they are doing and you trust them then there is nothing to worry about. If you don't trust them, then don't take it to that dealer.
Another option would be too just wait till the next Expo and pay (with beer) someone there to do it
