Double check me.....oil pressure gauge/sender install
I've searched and found little bits of info on installing an oil pressure gauge into my 93 Si. I want to compile it all here and have you guys check and make sure I'm off in the right direction. I had a false start today when I started installing stuff and thread pitches didn't match up.
Here's what I have: Nordskog gauge with sender S8014 ( http://www.nordskogperformance.net/sending.html)
I want to tee it off like this: http://www.theoldone.com/articles/oilpressure/ Just place "Sender" where they drew "Gauge" since mine's electrical and the diagram is for mechanical.
What I'm not sure about:
1-Thread pitch on the H23 block where the stock pressure switch goes in. 1/8" BSPT?
2-Thread pitch on the sender. 1/8" NPT is the norm?
3-What's missing/wrong on my list of stuff to buy:
-a- An adapter that goes from 1/8 BSPT male to 1/8 NPT female
-b- A braided line with 1/8 NPT male at both ends. What size line??
-c- a Tee with 1/8 NPT female on all 3 sides
-d- an adapter to go back from NPT to BSPT so I can reinstall my stock pressure switch in the Tee.
Looks like I can find item a here, although its pricey: http://store.summitracing.com/...D2269
And item b here: http://store.summitracing.com/...D3227 , but i still dont' know if i need -3 AN or -4 AN. And if i get an AN line I may need adapters to get back to NPT or BSTP, correct?
Item c and d.....available somewhere I bet, haven't looked that hard yet.
Anyway - thanks for any help on this. Check me and see if I can do this better / simpler / cheaper, and please recommend places to get the hardware.
Thanks.

Phil:
The sender, has the same thread as the stock oil pressure switch. Take the stock oil pressure switch with you to either Home Depot or Napa to test the threads. If the stock oil pressure switch fits into anything, the sending unit will also. Maybe I'll swing by this weekend and we'll get it set up.

I figured it out...but no actually I don't think it does....but it's really close. I think the block and stock switch are 1/8 BSPT and the sender is 1/8 NPT.
I tried screwing an 1/8 NPT threaded fitting into the block and it started binding at a certain point....NPT and BSPT are one thread per inch different, plus a different taper. So it'll go in....mostly
I found an adapter kit at autozone meant for "fitting aftermarket oil pressure senders into foreign cars'...and sure enough included a 1/8 BSPT to 1/8 NPT adapter.
Haven't had a chance to put it in yet.....but i think it'll work. We'll see as soon as I get time to try again...probably friday night or Saturday.
Thanks for the info....you think I'm off base?

cool man thanks....i guess we'll see wont' we
any recommendations of good places to pickup ground and power, and where to run the wires thru the firewall?
i'm sure i could figure it all out...but since you've done it before ....
you did say the terminals on the sender were 1) ground and 2) signal to gauge, but it didn't matter which was which? They're not marked.
Thanks man

I sell a firewall kit, it allows you to run a single straight line from the back of your block to a multiple ports tee to be placed in the firewall area, from this tee, you can run all your gauges, turbo feed line, stock oil pressure sender and etc.
The firewall kit consist of,
1- 1/8" BSPT (M) to -1/8" NPT (F) adapter
2- 1/8" NPT male to -3AN male adapter
1- 20" -3AN hose assembly with both female ends assembled.
1- Mutliple port tees (up to 5 outlet)
All for $ 25 shipped.
The line will come out like this,
This will be on the firewall,
All the lines and fittings will be similar like the oil feed, except for shorter line,
