loudness has **** to do with horse power, CAI will produce the best HP, i dunno about the V2 or what not, but i would do a custom CAI if you do not have to worry about needing carb EO#

I can't believe nobody has mentioned the comptech ice box. Its supposedely the best. It gets cold air and great throttle response like a short ram at the same time. I have both a j's intake and an aem cai on my car. The aem pulls harder in the higher rpms, but down low and as far as throttle response goes the j's is a winner.

I like the J's and a lot of people have seen nice gains with them.

I run a custom set-up on my gf's civic. Autozone Intake pipe (which will be cut about an inch shorter later on) PRMRacing Filter from my old bimmer and misc. pieces from Autozone to run a coold air pipe to the filter. Check for pics in my sig. The controversy that I've heard is that short intakes produce better power low end and that CAI produce better power top end. She has the best of both world's.
