Car Port collapsed on my car!!
Well we've gotten quite a bit of snow here in New England the past couple of days (28" or so). To make a long story short my car has been relegated to "toy" status and is no longer my daily driver. I bought a car port and and decided to put it away from the winter. Well, like the title says I came home this morning to see my car port had collapsed from all the weight of the snow that had accumulated overnight.
I have tons of pics but no where to host so this will have to do for now. Damage: Passenger side front fender-demolished, driver side fender-small crease, CF hood-cracked, roof- 4" long 1/16"deep crease, passenger side spoon mirror-shattered glass, rear bumper-scuffed, $500.00 woth of car port and miscelaneous lumber etc- total loss. I'm kind of lucky as the damage could have been alot worse. I hope homeowners ins. will cover this

P.S. If anyone can help me out w/ hosting pics I'd appreciate it. TIA.

As far as a warrantee I'm not sure I'll have to look into it. My feeling is that I doubt it.

I thought I had it bad shoveling this rotten freezing cold crap, but I guess I should count my blessings since my car's only covered in snow and not a bunch of assorted metal. A buddy of mine got the insurance company to replace a furnace that **** itself. The guy's exact words were "Wow, a(can't remember the name of the furnace). This was state of the art in 1940". Be persistant, that's what worked for him. I believe he got 5 grand and change after the deductible. Good luck and my condolances.

That sucks man. I live in Berkshire County, Mass. My Sol is covered in 13 inches of snow
. Take the tarp and cover it and leave it. Sorry about your loss.... thats why in the spring I'm movin to Florida....can't take this crap anymore. It's cold, wet and no fun unless you are in elementry scool and have snow days.

that definately sucks. i would say call your car insurance provider to see if they will cover it, cuz they normaly cover things along these lines without raising your rates since you were not driving the car.
good luck with everything
