Default switching to obd 1.

dont flame. lol. well why do some people switch to obd 1 from obd2? thanks in advance

There are more robust tuning options available for OBD1, and OBD2 is more emisssions conscious and robs power.

with obd2 the cel is triggered alot easier due to the polution sensores

with a obd1 ecu you can have hardly anything on there and have no cel

hope that clears it up for you a little bit

Oo, so if u wanna switch back to obd2, whats there to swap? all the sensors, wires harnesses? thanks for the fast replies

Just the ecu. Emissions stations nowadays want to plug in all OBD2 capable cars, and just do a diagnostic on the computer. so if you car is running off of an OBD1 computer, their diagnostic computer isn't going to work, and hopefully they just put you on the sniffer, then.
