Default Rev/Speed meter

Does anyone who has one of these find they look at the revs on it instead of their tach in teh cluster? I am thinking of getting all aftermarket gauges, and if i get the rev/speed meter i may pass completely on getting a tachometer. What do you think? Is the reading to small to rely on 100%, i only saw one in action once and that was a few years ago before I was this far into the game. Thanx for any coments

I had one on my DX before I got an SiR cluster. It wasnt really accurate with the RPMS, I'd hit the rev limiter before they self-set shift light would blink. After I got my SiR cluster it became useless except for top speed measurments, but some ******* broke into my car and stole it and they will rot in prison.

I reccomend getting an Si or EX cluster or one of the cheap ones with a tach and then get some gauges. I dont need gauges so I just got the SiR cluster.

Why would you want the RSM. Its really small and hard to see. It is a really bad choice to rely on it for a tachometer. I'm just saying if you have a cluster with a tach that is 10x safer to rely on shifting at the correct time than the RSM. I went to the drag strip expecting to be able to rely on it as a tach and just ended up bouncing the limiter and grinding gears.

When I'm at the track I'm more comfortable shifting according to the sound of the engine. Otherwise I glance at my 2.5" tach. I got a small one because I don't really need it...
