Default Oil Plug washer

What happens if you don't replace the oil plug washer? Leak?

Had my car for 30,000+ miles...

So thats what? About 10 oil changes?

Nver changed the oil plug washer...never had a leak.

i once did an oil change without changing the washer,,it started a very small leak. ive heard of other people who never do it and never had a problem. the washer is only 48 cents. so go to your local honda/acura dealer and get a load of them just to have them around.

If you really, really want to stay on the safe side, i'd change the washer every time. I don't think Acura/Honda wants you to change the washer to make a profit since you can probably buy a small handful with the change in your ashtray. I've heard of a plug coming off the oilpan before and it's not a good story.
